Mohawk???

Do I have a mohawk??? I think this way of combing girls hair was popular at this time. Maybe I didn't have hair on the sides! I don't know but I look kind of funny I think! I do look very girly tho!

My pretend mom and dad

This is my Aunt Hazel & Uncle Carl whose wedding I was the flower girl. From what they told me I stayed with them quite a bit after they were married. I even slept between them! People thought that I was their little daughter. I remember one time they took me to a movie theater where there were balcony type things sticking out of the walls around the room. At that time I sucked my finger. I saw a man standing on one of the balcony's pointing at me and telling me not to do that! Fact or fiction-I don't know! I just remember it! I always thought my uncle looked like Rock Hudson.

Class Pictures

Can you find me in these pictures? The friend I still correspond with is in two of the pictures. She's in the top picture- the 2nd one to the right of the teacher. She's also in the 2nd picture in the top row all the way to the right. Judy was one of the smartest girls in our class. I did pretty good myself. I was always rather shy and kept to just my friends. I remember on Fridays after school, we could bring our roller skates and skate in the lunchroom. Sometimes they played the 3 Stooges shows so we could watch that. Our lunch cost .25. We couldn't really afford that so I worked in the lunchroom to earn my lunch. Sometimes I would wash the trays and sometimes I put stuff on the trays as the kids went by. One of my favorite things to eat that I remember they served was white bread with mayonaise. Yumm!!! Some of the girls had a club after school that I belonged to. We'd take turns going to each others houses and playing. We didn't have a very nice house so I was kind of embarrased when it was my turn. For the snack my mom took the girls to an ice cream stand that was on the way home from school and we all had ice cream cones.

Then and Now

Haven't they grown up!! I'm very proud of each of them. They all turned out to be beautiful adults. I love each of you very much!

COUSINS

When I see Bristol and Lawson I think of my cousin, Bruce and me. Just like they will soon be, we were best friends! We did a lot of things together including getting kicked out of a movie theater at the ages of 5 & 6. I was 5 and Bruce was 6. I don't know how or why but we were dropped off to watch a scarry movie by ourselves! I remember laughing and talking about our candy and the next thing we knew we were standing outside all alone. We decided to hitch hike home since there was no one to take us! I think we got yelled at but I don't really remember. I used to spend nights at his house and play lots of things.
