Things were so much simpler when I was born! Of course the pay was a lot lower but look at these prices! I would love to go back to the 50's to live. You didn't have to lock doors, worry about drive bys, you knew your neighbors and could go for walks at night without worrying about who would jump out from behind the tree. Living in Durand was great too. That was still in the 70/80's and we didn't worry too much. If you watch some of the old shows on tv, that is how it was. Some of my favorites growing up were Leave it to Beaver, The Donna Reed Show, Mickey Mouse Show, Bonanza and Sky King.

There are so many pro's and con's about all the modern technology. I miss the simplicity of the '80's. We were content with Pac Man and no computers. Black and white tv and no cable was also no problem. Summer nights were spent playing kickball and kick the can. I can only imagine how much fun it was for you to grow up in the 50s/60s!!
I'm pretty sure Rons Dad was born in 48 too. I'm going to forward this to him....
I wish I could have experienced a simpler time. I like the idea of being able to go on adventures in your own neighborhood without having to worry about all the crazies out there.
